General Graal
General Graal: A playerworld I usually play is no longer on the server list!
If it is a classic or gold world, it is likely that there are currently server problems, and that they will be back shortly. If the world was on the 'Hosted' tab then they are likely back into full private mode. You can still enter the world by entering the server name in the drop-down menu on the serverlist (F8) and then pressing enter/return, or you can type the server's name into the serverlist.
If it was on the private/under construction list then it has probably either expired or changed its name. "Playerworld###" is the default name given to servers, but they frequently change their name to something more unique; a log of name changes can be found on the forums (see link below).
http://forums.graalonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49497
Alternatively, if your account time for GOLD or VIP has expired, you will no longer see the Hosted list tab, so you will not be able to see the servers there.
General Graal: How do I make a level with the level editor?
To load the level editor, open Graal and then click the "Editor" button. You can now use the options on the right to add tiles and objects into the level window on the left.General Graal: Gameplay

- Load the playerlist (F7) in-game.
- Press options
- Tick 'Ignore mass messages'
- Press close
Note: Any mass mesages you had before you disabled it will still show in the playerlist until you read them.
General Graal - Gameplay: How do I drop money / items?
Hold down S then cycle through your inventory with A.Once you find the item that you want to drop, release S and press A again.
On most servers you can only drop some things, and not items or weapons.
On Graal Kingdoms (GOLD server), you can drop items by holding Q, dragging the item you want with your left-mouse button out of the Q-menu, releasing Q and dragging the item close to your player so it looks like it is about to drop the item, then letting go of the mouse button.
General Graal - Gameplay: How do I get more gelat (money)?
You can get it from quests, events, killing players, selling items and from random chests hidden in the Graal world.Try asking a (FAQ) staff member on a server for specifics on where to get more money.
General Graal - Gameplay: How do I jump off a cliff?
Keep running against the edge of the cliff and you will automatically jump off.NOTE: You can't jump off cliffs that are too high.
General Graal - Gameplay: How do I send a mass message?
To Send a Private Message to multiple recipients, open the player list (with F7), then select the players you want to send a message to (by holding down control and clicking the names you want), right click and then press Message. To send it to ALL players, open the player list (F7) and click the top name then hold down shift and press end then right click and then press Message.
Some players will have mass messages disabled, so they will not recieve your message.
General Graal - Gameplay: How do I send a private message (PM)?
To send a private message (PM) to someone (the yellow bubble), hit F7 to bring up the player list and find that person. Double-click on his/her name to bring up the message menu. Type in your message there, and click Send.General Graal - Gameplay: I cant see my own name, why?
Other players can still see it.If you want to see your name, type "showname" in the chat bar at the bottom of the Graal client to see it for a few seconds.
General Graal - Gameplay: I had the bomb, but got another weapon. How do I get the bomb back?
Just press Q to bring up the Items Menu, and you can find all your weapons. Highlight/select the right weapon, then press Q again to close the menu.General Graal - Gameplay: I keep getting killed, why?
There are several Player Killers (PKers) that kill players for fun, as it increases their kill count and sometimes rewards them with dropped money/items.If you want to get past them, either run like crazy, or pause whenever they come near you. Pking is not illegal in most cases.
There are also NO-PK zones (you will see a sword with a cross through it below the 'A-S-D' icons on your Graal screen) where you are safe from being killed in these areas.
General Graal - Gameplay: I'm trying to kill people, but I hardly ever hit people. Why is this?
This most likely means that you're not fast enough to attack the people. Chase after people if you really want to kill them.Often you will run into experienced player killers, so they will be very good.
Try hitting just in front of the person, or where you think they will be 1 second from the time you press attack so you will hit at the right time in the right place.
General Graal - Gameplay: People's names are often different colors. What do the colors represent?
This reflects their alignment. The darker colors (red, brown) mean that the players has killed lots of people. The lighter colors (blue, usually) mean that the person doesn't kill people often.
A gold name means they have not killed recently at all, they are also immune from being attacked by other players with a sword. To get a gold name just do not kill anyone for some time. This represents 100 AP, and it will rise by itself.
To see how much AP you have say "showap" in the chat window at the bottom of your Graal client.
General Graal - Gameplay: What are those little grey/yellow/blue/red bubbles in the corner?
They're PM (private message) bubbles. If you click on them, the message will pop up and you can read them. You can see them all by loading the player list (Press F7).
PM Color code:
Red: Staff / Automated server message
Yellow: Private message direct from another player
Blue: Mass message (this has been sent to you and some other players too)
Green: A message from guild members. To send one, say "toguild: <message>" in your chat-box.
Grey: A to-all chat message. To send one, say "toall: <message>" in your chat-box.
General Graal - Gameplay: What does pausing do / How do I pause?
To Pause press P.While paused, others cannot hurt you with their sword, but they can still leave bombs and arrows behind to hurt you.
Press P again to un-pause.
General Graal - Gameplay: What is a spar?
A spar is a duel until one player loses all his/her life and is removed/respawns.Often servers have spar arenas where players can challenge each other and spar in specially designed levels.
General Graal - Gameplay: Where can I download newer/better versions of GraalOnline?
Latest versions will be posted in the Downloads Section once available.See: http://www.graalonline.com/downloads/index.php

General Graal: Graal for Mac
Graal for Mac: Finding your Graal folder
Regardless of where you install Graal for Mac, when you run Graal, a new folder will be made inside your home folder for storing personal settings, and downloaded images and files. In order to open this folder, follow the following instructions:
1. Open Finder.
2. Select the "Go to folder..." option in the "Go" menu.
3. Enter the following into the box: "~/.graal/graal4/", and press OK.
4. Voila; here is where Graal stores downloaded files (inside the levels/ folder), settings and other files.
Graal for Mac: Installing Graal
Firstly, check that your computer meets the System Requirements. Then, in order to install Graal 5 on Mac, you should visit the GraalOnline download page in order to download the game client. If you have downloaded the file using Safari, it will most likely be saved onto the Desktop. If not, click the "Safari" menu and then "Preferences", and check the folder selected in the "Save downloaded files to" field. The file will be called "Graal.dmg.bz2".
First, start by extracting the file by double-clicking the file. This will cause a new file "Graal.dmg" to appear. Double-click this new file, and a disk image will be mounted called "Graal".
Pick a location to install Graal and create a folder there, and drag the files from inside the disk image into your new destination folder. Graal will be installed in this location. If you wish to make a shortcut to Graal to place in your Applications folder, right-click the Graal icon, and select "Make Alias". You can then drag this shortcut into the Applications folder or into the Dock.
Graal for Mac: Using Remote Control and Admin features
On Windows and Linux platforms, there is an external RC for performing administrative tasks. On Mac, however, the RC is built-into the client. In order to log onto Remote Control, log onto the server which you have admin rights on, and press the F6 button. If successful, an RC window will appear inside.
If you are using an Apple notebook, such as an iBook, PowerBook, MacBook or MacBook Pro, you may need to hold down the "Fn" key while you press the F6 button. If you wish to change your system settings so that you do not need to hold down the "Fn" key, then open System Preferences and select Keyboard & Mouse.

General Graal: Troubleshooting
General Graal - Troubleshooting: I cant change my sword / head / shield - it doesn't show up! What's wrong?
Here is a list of possible causes and solutions:1. Are you sure that the head/sword/shield has been uploaded? Check with a server staff member.
2. Make sure you spelled the filename correctly. Also check the file-type (e.g: .gif / .png).
3. It might take some time for the Server to process your command, especially during peak hours. Wait for a while and it may show up.

Where can I find it?
All the necessary files should have came with the Typical (Full) Download Pack. You should re-download it from below:
http://www.graalonline.com/downloads/index.php
General Graal - Troubleshooting: Why isnt anyone moving?
If everyone is still not moving after some time, try these in the Options menu:Toggle 'Use fixed port for data packages' and 'Don't use UDP for data packages' On or Off and see if that solves the problem.
(These are in the Options Button > General Tab, from when you start Graal.exe)

Note: Graal Kingdoms is a GOLD server, therefore you need a GOLD or VIP account to save your data.
The /save command is good for immediately backing up your
progress, to make sure you don't lose items if the server messes up or you
disconnect from Graal.
There are also automatic saves, similar to
/save when you go into beds, docks, and dungeon doors: when
you enter a bed or a dungeon, or walk to the end of a dock, your restart position is saved (which means if you
die, you start there instead of having to restart your character!).
There is a general save feature in Graal, so you should be able to just exit the game and still have your data saved.

Graal Kingdoms - Questions: What are the 3 buttons in my stat bar for? / Where is the quick launch buttons?
Below the stat bars are three buttons. Clicking on one of these buttons will open up
its quick menu. On each menu you see a
list of the skills, weapons, or spells that you have.
You may double-click or middle- button-click
on any icon to use/wield that skill/weapon/spell. You may also drag a spell icon to an object
to use the spell on that object (if supported).
Highlight an icon on any menu, then click the blank space to
the right of it. Press a key to assign
that key to the icon. Then, pressing that key is the same as double-clicking
the icon on the quick menu.
Graal Kingdoms - Questions: How do I see what alchemy recipes I know?
You have to type " /recipes " as chattext and you will arrive a complete list of alchemy recipes you know in your RPG-Window. This window can be opened by pressing the F2 button on your keyboard.
With the command " /recipe recipename " you get the ingredients which are needed for the recipe you want.
Graal Kingdoms - Questions: What do all the things on the Q menu mean/do?
Note: For this article there is an image (at the bottom) which is colour coded to the text to help your further.
The Q menu is divided into several sections. Hold down Q or left-click the player to open this menu.
The left column is divided into 3 sections. The top bar tells the player's level and current experience. The player's level will increase as the player gains more experience. Killing monsters, reading books, and identifying items are just some of the ways you can gain more experience.
Third, we have the Skill/Experience section. Your character has six skill areas in which he or she may level up. The number on the left represents your level in that skill area, and the number on the right
represents your current experience in that level. Individual skill areas follow the same rules as overall character level when leveling up. See "Experience" for more information.
The bottom section on the left side is the Resistances
area. This lists your resistance to various kinds of attacks and spells. Move the mouse over each icon to see what it represents.
The top-right side of the Q menu is divided into 2
sections. The equipment section shows what items you have equipped, and what part of
the body they are equipped to. The
right-most section displays the name and statistics of the currently selected item.
The bottom-right section is your inventory. On the left side you see the main portion of your inventory. Here you may select, drag, wield, or apply your items.
On the right side you see the special inventory area. This is where you may view and manipulate the contents of containers such as
the cauldron or sack.
Finally, on the bottom left there is a transparency button, which can be used to set the transparency of the Q menu.

Graal Kingdoms - Questions: What do the stat bars mean in the top right?
On the upper-right corner of the screen you see a graphic
with 4 stat bars. These represent, from top to bottom:

Health (HP) - Current
HP/Maximum HP
This is how much life you have left.
When you hit 0, you will die. It slowly refills over time and leveling up your character level will increase your maximum HP.
This is how much spellpoints (mana or MP) you have left. It slowly refills over time. Leveling up in "magic" will increase your maximum
SP.
This is how much Grace you have.
This is how much food you have.
It slowly drains over time. You must eat food
or other edible items to refill. When
it reaches 0, you start eating random items from your inventory. When you
have nothing left to eat, you die.
Graal Kingdoms - Questions: What are experience points? How much do I need to level up?
Experience points represent how much you have done, such as how many quests and baddies you have killed, as you will be rewarded with experience points for these which then allows you to "level up" and improve your character. You begin at level 1.
Level 2 requires 2000 experience points.
Level 3 requires 4000 experience points.
Level 4 requires 8000 experience points.
etc..etc... with the necessary experience points for the next level doubling each time (8000, 16000, 32000, etc...).
When you're killed, you don't loose any experience. Instead, you drop either items or money.
If you don't have any money, you will begin to drop items.
Graal Kingdoms - Questions: What are the different methods of transport?
Walking is influenced by the character's weight and the terrain. The more weight you have in your inventory, the slower you walk. You also walk slowly going uphill.Swimming involves walking into the water, then pressing S to stroke while steering with arrow keys.

Hold S to accelerate the ship while steering with the arrow keys. Press A to leave the wheel. The person steering can say "setname 'shipname'" where shipname is what he wants to name the ship!
You may also touch the mast and press A to climb to the crow's nest. While up here you can use the arrow keys to look around. Press A to get down.

Guilds: Guild members are online, but they don't show in the guild section of the playerlist. Why?

Guilds: How do I join a guild?
To join a LOCAL guild, ask the local guild admin or the leader of the guild on the server of the guild you wish to join.To join a GLOBAL guild, use the guilds membership form found on the Guilds HQ ( http://www.graalonline.com/guilds/ ) or ask the leader for permission to join. You will have to provide your nickname and your account name. Both are CASE SENSITIVE. Do NOT give out your password.

Say the following in your chat-window at the bottom of your Graal client:toguild: <message>
e.g: toguild: Hello guild!
Guilds: How do I start my own guild?
First of all, make sure you have a clear REASON to start the Guild. Don't just simply start one for the sake of starting one! Then, find players that are interested to join the Guild.Once you have at least 10 interested players, ask each one of them to go to the Guild Signup page and fill in the details.
Check for further instructions there.
NOTE: You require a VIP account to create a guild.
Guilds: My guild tag does not show, how do I fix it?
Either you're not really in the Guild or you didn't get registered correctly. Confirm with your Guild Leader that your account was registered correctly. Then, make sure that you're using the EXACT Nickname (case sensitive) as registered by your Guild Leader.NOTE: If your account name and nickname are in the Database correctly, the GraalOnline Server will let you keep the Guild Tag next to your name. If not, it will be removed upon connection to the server (LOCAL guilds will not show on all servers, commonly they will only allow you to have the tag on one server).
NOTE2: Some servers disable global guilds, so you will not be able to use them on some servers.

Guilds: What is a guild?
A guild is a collection of players who can be identified by their clan tag, and are part of a group. One or more players come up with an idea/theme/objective for a Guild and starts attracting other players to join in.
Together, they commonly battle other clans, or sometimes take part in events, quests and gameplay together.
Guilds: What is the difference between a global guild and a local guild?
global guild is a guild that works on almost all servers (except those that have them disabled).A local guild is a guild that will only work on a certain server, and your clan tag will not work on another server.

Forums
Forums: I think I am banned, what shall I do?
If you are banned then you can create a support ticket, under the "Forums - Bans/Other" category to enquire about your ban. If you were banned, it is likely because you broke the forum rules. Please make sure you read the rules, found here:
http://forums.graalonline.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=81
Forums: The error message could not find word throttle
This error message could not find word throttle is due to you having a CLASSIC account, which is limited in the amount of times it can post each day.Currently, CLASSIC accounts are only allowed to post 3 times a day - and so this works out once every 8 hours. If you try and post before the 8hours is over since your last post, you will get this error.
GOLD and VIP accounts would allow you to post as frequent as you like on the forums, and details on both can be found here: http://www.graalonline.com/stores/upgrade.php
If you have got a GOLD/VIP account and still get this error message, please create a support ticket under accounts.
Support Center
My ticket hasn't been replied to in days or weeks?!
If your issue isn't something that we commonly handle and are prepared for, it may need to be brought to the attention of one of the higher staff members such as the Manager or Technical Director. Since these people are often preoccupied with other duties, it is not uncommon for their replies to take longer than it would for the more common and/or simpler issues.
Also note that a lot of the time, it is more of a privilege than a right to have such issues addressed at all. We often provide support things that most other game companies would simply ignore - so please give us some time and appreciate that. We do want to help you, but giving us a bad attitude isn't going to get you what you need any quicker.
Can I submit a ticket in a language other than English?
You can, but it is strongly recommended to use English if possible. It may take a lot longer for us to communicate in other languages.I didn't receive the support center confirmation e-mail (can't create account)
When registering for a support center account, you must verify the e-mail address that you choose to associate with it. This is done simply by following a link that is mailed to you shortly after your request is submitted.
This is what you can do if you don't receive that confirmation e-mail.
First of all, you should wait at least 30 minutes before assuming that the e-mail won't come. It can often be delayed even more than that, but if you are in a hurry you can follow the next steps.
-Check to make sure that the e-mail didn't get categorized as spam and automatically deleted or moved into a spam/bulk folder.
-You may want to try registering another support center account (such as "youraccount2" rather than "youraccount") with a different e-mail provider (e.g. gmail.com rather than hotmail.com), if this isn't too much of a hassle for you.
If all else fails, you can attempt to contact the manager of the support center; at the time of writing this, that is Ibonic. A Forum PM to him would be best if that option is available to you, but e-mails (ibonic "at" graalonline dot com) that are received will be answered in a timely fashion. Please provide the account name you would like, e-mail address and a password if you have one in mind.
My ticket was viewed, but has not been answered (am I being ignored?)
We try to answer every support ticket in a reasonable amount of time (within a day for most), but sometimes there can be delays. We will never intentionally "ignore" your support ticket(s) though.
Also see: My ticket hasn't been replied to in days or weeks?!
Most likely if your ticket was viewed and hasn't been replied to, it simply means that the person who viewed it may not be someone who is able to help resolve that specific issue, and so they've assigned the ticket to someone else who can. Please try to be patient - we do want to help you.
My ticket status is "Responded", but I don't see a reply!
This happens when a staff member makes a private comment to another regarding your ticket, before anyone actually replies to you. This is just something we do to share information about the issue and for efficiency, it's nothing to worry about.
